About the Opera® Toileting High Extensor Sling

The Opera® Toileting High Extensor Sling has a higher back section than most toileting slings. This provides more support and enables patients to position their arms outside the sling for maximum comfort. One single loop connects the shoulder and waist areas of the sling to ease fitting. The sling is attached to hoists with a loop fixing.

Measurement instructions:

  • A: from front of under-arm, round the back, to front of other under-arm
  • B: from middle of shoulder blades (80mm above under-arm) to just above waist line
  • C: from top of knee, round inside thigh, under buttocks, to just above waist line
  • D: round the waist, just below the rib cage

Pro Tip: For most accurate results measure B + C together, then keeping the tape in the same place measure just B and subtract it from the total to give the value of C
