About Galsworthy House

Situated at the top of Kingston Hill overlooking Richmond Park is the picturesque Galsworthy House Nursing Home. Inside the home is a compassionate and caring team with a fun environment for residents to enjoy life and have the best experience possible.

Life at Galsworthy

Providing the highest standards of personalised care across medical and daily living needs, the team at Galsworthy House provide a comfortable and safe space which offers emotional support, companionship and assistance to its residents.

The types of care offered within the home cover a wide variety of different needs, including Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative Care, Convalescent Care and Physiotherapy.

To support resident wellbeing and care needs, staff at Galsworthy undertake specialist dementia training. This unique training allows the team to increase sensory stimulation and creativity where possible.

From the café and bistro to the stunning gardens, residents can enjoy a vast array of facilities and activities. Thanks to its ideal location, the home is also a short distance to the mainline train stations and bus routes with links to shopping, cafes and walks within Kingston Upon Thames.

Galsworthy House recently completed its newest refurbishment which boasts a stylish new look and redecoration of bedrooms. The project involved creating elevated day areas as well as sanctuary private living spaces for residents to enjoy.

Opera was the chosen supply to work with the team at Galsworthy in suppling nursing beds, mattresses and accessories to the new suites in the home. To support the homes beautiful interior which balances comfort, elegancy and functionality, it was essential that the nursing beds address varying care needs whilst creating a homely-inviting space.

The new suites were complete with the Solo Comfort Profiling Bed in both 3ft 6 and 4ft sizes. All the beds were upholstered in a custom fabric, Agua Sark Oatmeal which created an extra special touch of personality to the bedrooms, and seamless match the furniture.

The Emerald headboard allows the beds to give the appearance of a stylish bed, paired with the upholstered surround and side skirts. Meanwhile, the functionality of the Solo Comfort makes it an ideal solution for delivering exceptional care.

The Solo has an ultra-low floor height of just 11cm, making it suitable for vulnerable residents who may have cognitive conditions like Dementia. The low floor height means residents can sleep safely without the need of side rails. Carers can also benefit from the Solo Comfort by raising the bed up to waist level. This provides a more comfortable working height when delivering on-bed care.
